JKP’s skill upgradation programme begins

SRINAGAR: A skill upgradation programme for thousands of Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel organized by the department in collaboration with Delhi University commenced Monday.
In Srinagar two interactive sessions were held in College of Education and District Police Lines, in which about 600 policemen were imparted training in soft skills for better police-public interface by a team of experts from the University of Delhi.
Other district headquarters where the training programme commenced include Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Budgam and Ganderbal.
Over 10,000 cops  will undergo a skill-upgradation training by the department and Delhi University to meet challenges of the fast changing world and for better police-public interface.
