1000 additional Aganwadi Centres approved

Jammu: The Cabinet which met here under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, approved setting up of 1000 additional Aganwadi Centres under the scheme “Aganwadi-on-Demand on adhoc basis”, in the State under Integrated Child Development Scheme and engagement of 1000 honorary Aganwadi workers and 1000 honorary Aganwadi Helpers to man these centres.
The Cabinet considered and approved the draft Bill “The Jammu and Kashmir Civic Laws (Special Provisions) Bill, 2014”.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the introduction of J&K Wild Life (Protection) Bill, 2014 besides introduction of the Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2014 in the State Legislature.
The Cabinet also accorded sanction to the transfer of State land measuring 64 kanals, situated in village Amnoo, Tehsil and District Kulgam and land measuring 70 Kanals and 03 Marlas of State / Private acquired land situated in village Janglote and Chak Luddan, Tehsil and District Kathua, on lease basis to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Indian Ministry of HRD.
