SRINAGAR: Senior Hurriyat Conference (M) leader and chairman Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffar Akber Bhat on Saturday said that people of Kashmir have “offered precious sacrifices and we won’t allow them to go waste.”
Zaffar, according to a statement, made the remarks during this visit to Shopian where two Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed in an encounter with government forces on Thursday.
In his address at martyrs’ graveyard Haripora, Shopian, and later at the residence of one of the slain militants Abid Hussain Rather, Zaffar said, “We are pursuing a just cause.  The international community (should) take cognizance of human sufferings in state and resolve the long pending issue as per resolutions passed in United Nations.”
