K-issue a living reality: Yasin

Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday said Kashmir issue was  a “living reality” and peace and stability in south Asia were entirely dependent on its resolution.
He was addressing a gathering at the Buqa Aaliyah Gousia in Sarai Bala area here.
“The people of Jammu Kashmir are fighting a war for their future and welfare. Our struggle for freedom is actually based on truth and justice and we have been shown and taught this way of continues struggle by spiritual leaders like Ameer-e-Kabir,” he said.
“Our pirs, saints and spiritual leaders showed us the way of  life. They taught us to struggle for honor and dignity of humans. Islam and Muslims can still lead the world by following the footsteps of these great people,” Malik said while paying tributes to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani(RA).
“We have forgotten the teachings of these spiritual leaders and are suffering in our daily lives,” he said.
Malik said it was spiritual leaders like Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) who “led us on the religious and spiritual fronts.”
Malik also appealed people to defeat the nefarious designs of  sectarian elements and promote restraint and tolerance.
Terming Jammu Kashmir issue as a living reality, Malik said that one cannot dream of a lasting and durable peace and prosperity in sub continent until the issue is resolved.
