SRINAGAR: The ReTs working in Hardepanzoo in central Kashmir’s Budgam district Thursday expressed displeasure over the delay in payment of school funds and their salaries.
A delegation of ReTs told Kashmir Reader that the government is yet to release their salaries and the funds pertaining to Mid-Day meal scheme.
“We have been running from pillar to post to get the payments released, but all in vain. Every time we meet the authorities for payments, they respond with excuses,” it said.
“Often the employees are on leave, hence unavailable to release the payments. We are suffering due to non-payment of our salaries and the funds for Mid-Day scheme in our schools,” it added.
The delegation appealed the government to look into the matter.
“We teach and train the students in our schools for just peanuts, and then authorities trouble us with these delays. We appeal the government to look into the matter so that we get some respite,” the delegation said.
