2 KAS officers shifted, SSB member’s stay extended

Srinagar: The state government on Wednesday ordered transfer of two KAS officers and accorded extension in the deputation of Farooq Ahmad Peer as member J&K Service Selection Board for one year beyond January 13.
According to a government order, Mohammad Tariq (KAS), Deputy Secretary to Government, ARI and Trainings Department, is transferred and posted as Secretary, J&K State Commission for Backward Classes.
Manzoor Ahmad Bhat (KAS), Joint Registrar, Cooperatives (Audit), Kashmir, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Appeals), Srinagar, against an available vacancy.
Separately, in continuation of government order (No. 1418-GAD of 2011) of December 13, 2011, government accorded sanction to the extension in the deputation of Dr. Farooq Ahmad Peer, Associate Professor, Department of English, Amar Singh College, Srinagar, as Member, J&K SSB, for a further period of one year beyond January 13.
“During his posting in the J&K Services Selection Board, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Peer shall retain lien and promotion prospects in his parent department i.e. the Higher Education Department,” the order said.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Nabi Tak, a member of Private Secretaries of the J&K Heads of Departments (G) Service, presently on deputation as Functional Manager, DIC, Leh, is transferred and deputed as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh, with immediate effect, initially for a period of one year, subject to the standard terms and conditions governing deputation.
“It is further ordered that till such time the post of Functional Manager, DIC, Leh, is filled-up on regular basis by the Industries and Commerce Department, the charge of the post of Functional Manager, DIC, Leh, shall be held by him, in addition to his own duties as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh,” the order said.
The government also posted Zaheer Abass Bhat, Block Development Officer, Banihal, as Additional Private Secretary in the Personal Section of Minister of State for Technical Education.
