KUPWARA: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone who is the Adjudicating Authority under the Food Safety & Standards Act (FSSA) in the district, today while deciding the cases of food safety like adulteration, misbranding and other violations of the Act, penalized 03 companies for violation of different provisions of the FS&S Act and realised a fine of Rs.70,000 from them.
He also directed the Food Safety Officers to intensify the collection of samples of various food items and get them analysed in the Government laboratories.
