ICDS engaged staffers seek release of pending honorarium

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Helpers to Supervisors Association working in the Integrated Child development Scheme (ICDS) on Monday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the department to release their honorarium which is pending from the last three years.
The protesting women from various areas of the Kashmir valley assembled here in press enclave chanting slogans “we want justice” and “release our pending honorarium’’.
Nuzat Bano, one of the protesting women said we are working in the Integrated Child development Scheme (ICDS) upon the posts of Helpers to supervisors. We are without honorarium from last three years in the department.
“We are attending our duties regularly, but unfortunately our honorarium is still pending in the department. We are demanding the department to release our honorarium as soon as possible,” she said.
Bano said that due to non- availability of the money we are facing the financial crisis in our daily lives. The department should release our honorarium. So, we can fulfil the basic needs and demands in our families.
The protesting women also requested the higher authorities of the department to look into the matter and release of their honorarium.
