BARAMULLA: An elderly woman slipped to death in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon.
Sources said that an elderly woman Asha Begam 60 wife of Abdul Rashid Sofi resident of Nambla village of Uri was at her fields outside her home and she slipped and fell down into a nearby gorge, resulting in her receiving serious injuries. The local people including family members shifted her to sub district hospital Uri, where she was declared dead by doctors on arrival.
