KUPWARA: A labourer was killed while another injured when they came under a wooden log in Lolab forest areas of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Wednesday afternoon.
Sources said that a group of labourers engaged for moving of wooden logs from one to another place in Lolab forests ,Compartment number 61.
However one the wooden log hit the two labours, inwhich one Ghulam Hassan Mir son of Saif-ud-Din Mir died on spot, while another labourer identified as Ghulam Ahmad Wagay a resident of Budgam district received serious injures who was later shifted to SDH Kupwara for treatment. Soon after the incident senior officials of forest department and police reached the spot and started an enquiry.
