Baramulla: Windstorms followed by heavy rains create panic in several parts of Baramulla on Tuesday evening. Locals said that heavy rains and windstorm damaged hundreds of poplar, walnut trees, electric poles, and roofs of several houses and cow sheds from Uri to Pattan in Baramulla district on Tuesday evening, due to which a panic was gripped among the people. They said that due to winds, electricity has been shut in many areas of the district. People appealed to the government of Jammu and Kashmir to compensate the affected families.
