PAMPORE: Lightning struck the top of the Jamia Masjid at Lalpora Chatlam village of Pampore on Wednesday due to which it caught fire. According to locals with thunders and rains lashing the area, a lightning bolt hit the top spire of the main mosque resulting in fire at the mosque. However,with immediate action of the local villagers the fire was controlled on time and its spread limited.
They villagers said that the fire resulted in minor damages to the Masjid.
