BARAMULLA: People from GundIbrahim village of Pattan on Friday staged a protest here against the doctors posted in SDH Pattan after death of a new born due to “negligence” of doctors in the hospital.
Protesters said that a pregnant lady namely Safeena wife of Shafaat Ahmad Dar was admitted in the hospital at 8am on Thursday.
“Till 10 pmshe was crying due to pain as the surgeon and gynecologist were not present in the hospital and BMO did not bother to refer her to other hospital due to which newborn died,” they said.
Protesters demanded stern action against the doctors and BMO Pattan.
A complainant was also registered against BMO Pattan by the family member of the deceased at Police Post Palhallan and the investigation has been taken up.
