SHOPIAN: Police here have arrested six thieves and recovered nine bikes from their procession.
A police officer said that after many complaints received by the police station Shopian, a team was constituted headed by Station House officer (SHO) Shopian Mudasir Ahmad.
He said that investigation was started – which led to the arrest of six thieves from different areas from the district.
Dy Sp headquarter Shopian Tanveer Ahmad told reporters in a press conference that Shopian police is going to conduct raids in South Kashmir to nab the other thieves and their associates.
