Keeri community health centre lacks basic facility, allege locals

BARAMULLA: The locals of Kreeri in north Kashmir’s Baramaulla have alleged that community health centre in their vicinity lacks basic facility such as manpower, medicines and syringes.
They said that x-ray machine installed at the centre develops snags frequently forcing patients to carry out tests at private clinics.
According to the patients, a lone children specialist is posted at the hospital.
When contacted BMO Kreeri, Dr Javaid Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that they are working tirelessly to provide best healthcare facilities.
He denied that the hospital is devoid of any syringes or medicines.
“We have received the supplies recently and we are not short on resources,” he said, adding that the defunct x-ray machine will be set right in the coming days.
