Jammu: Panic gripped the city of temples Sunday when a local informed the police about a suspect in army fatigues and an assault rifle. The police swung into action and launched a massive manhunt to nab the suspect. Police assisted by the special operations group (SOG) searched Panjthirthi and its adjoining areas.
“The operation continued for a couple of hours and the teams searched all the areas surrounding Tawi, Panjthirthi and Gujjar Nagar”, said a police official. However, the suspect could not be found and the operation was called off.
