Baramulla: Bodies of two army porters who were hit by an avalanche in Gulmarg area were retrieved and sent to their native place in Uri.
The avalanche that according to officials struck near the Himat post area 35 Kilometers ahead of Gulmarg on Saturday with two army porters Sajad Ahamd Khan and Ishfaq Ahmad Khan getting trapped in it.
Their bodies according to police were retrieved after a search operation on Sunday, but due to poor visibility they could not be brought to Gulmarg.
Station House Officer of police station Gulmarg Athar Parvez sadi that the bodies were brought from the avalanche site on Sunday and later sent to their places in Uri.
