Baramulla: Hundreds of Anganwadi workers and helpers on Tuesday staged protests and demanded their fulfilment of long pending demands.
They demanded the increase in wages, regularization and promotions, and the implementation of pension schemes. Protesting workers also demanded ban on the fresh engagement of Anganwadi workers till their demands are not met.
The protesters assembled at Kirapa Park Baramulla and staged protests under the banner of JK Anganwadi and Helpers Association.
“Our protests will continue till our demand should not be fulfilled,” president of the Association Mymoona Nazki said.
