Srinagar: India and Pakistan armies on Monday night exchanged heavy fire along the Line of Control in Mankote Sector of tehsil Mendhar in Poonch district, police said.
A senior police official said that Pakistan violated ceasefire in Mankote Sector Mendhar which was retaliated by Indian Army effectively.
Pertinently, cross- border firing is going on in Uri Sector of Baramulla where at least four civilIans have sustained injuries.
The exchange of fire was going on at both the places when the last reports were filed.
