Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday visited SKIMS Soura to enquire about the health of the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims who were injured in a bus accident in Ganderbal district earlier in the day.
The Lieutenant Governor, interacted with the injured pilgrims and their attendants, enquired about their condition and wished them a speedy recovery.
He also reviewed the treatment being provided to the injured and directed the hospital administration and concerned officials to ensure the best possible medical care and extend all necessary assistance to the pilgrims.
The Lieutenant Governor was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg; Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo; Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir, V.K. Birdi and other senior civil and police officials.
Notably, at least 40 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured after the bus they were travelling in skidded off the road and overturned near Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday morning. All the injured were initially shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan before being referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment—(KNO)
