Srinagar: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking as part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan – 100 Days Campaign, Srinagar Police has attached four immovable properties valued at approximately ₹3.34 crore under Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
The properties were seized during investigations by Police Station Safakadal and are believed to be illegally acquired assets derived from narcotics proceeds. The details are as follows:
1. A three-storey residential house on land recorded as Abadi Deh, valued at ₹1,19,90,765, located at Estate Nawakadal (Survey No. 1819 Min), belonging to Adnan Lateef Sheikh, involved in FIR No. 74/2026 under Section 8/22 NDPS Act.
2. A single-storey house on 7 Marlas 50 Sq. Ft. of land, valued at ₹1,18,28,965, at Estate Palpora (Survey No. 386 Min), belonging to Danyal Ahmad Bisati, involved in FIR No. 24/2025 under Sections 8/20, 29 NDPS Act.
3. A double-storey house on approximately 4.5 Marlas of land, valued at ₹71,31,905, at Estate Barthana (Survey No. 201 Min), belonging to Shahid Gul, involved in FIR No. 48/2026 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act.
4. A single-storey house on 3 Marlas of land, valued at ₹25,00,322, at Estate Goripora (Survey No. 490 Min), belonging to Adil Ahmad Mir, involved in FIR No. 62/2025 under Sections 8/21, 29 NDPS Act.
The owners have been served with attachment orders and are prohibited from selling, leasing, mortgaging, or transferring the properties without prior approval from authorities. This action underscores Srinagar Police’s ongoing efforts to dismantle the financial networks of drug traffickers by targeting assets gained through illicit activities.
Police reaffirm its commitment to a drug-free society and urges citizens to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking via the nearest police station or the Police Helpline at Dial 112.
