SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority today mourned the demise of Shakti Devi, mother of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Chief Justice (Acting), High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority. Shakti Devi left for heavenly abode on June 20, 2026.
A condolence meeting was held today at the office of the J&K Legal Services Authority in Srinagar. All the officers and officials extended their deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the Acting Chief Justice and the bereaved family in this hour of immense grief.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the officers and the officials observed two minutes’ silence. They prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and bestow strength, courage and fortitude upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
