He emphasized that thousands of families dependent on horticulture and agriculture have suffered significant losses and require urgent government intervention.
Calling for a comprehensive assessment of the damage, Mir urged the administration to deploy revenue, horticulture, and agriculture department teams in all affected areas to conduct transparent surveys and ensure that adequate compensation reaches the affected growers without delay.
“The administration must act swiftly to mitigate the hardships faced by our farmers and orchardists. Immediate relief measures and fair compensation are essential to safeguard their livelihoods and help them recover from this natural calamity,” Mir said.
Meanwhile, all National Conference legislators, constituency incharges from the affected constituencies have been directed to remain on the ground and maintain close contact with the affected population.
Mir expressed confidence that the administration under Agriculture Minister Javed Dar’s guidance would take all necessary measures to provide relief and rehabilitation to those impacted by the recent hailstorm.
