SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Wednesday visited Chrar-e-Sharif, where she took stock of ongoing construction works, discussed project details on the spot with engineers, and handed over a new ambulance vehicle to the people of Chrar-e-Sharif on behalf of the Waqf Board.
Interacting with the public regarding ongoing infrastructural projects, Andrabi said the ambulance service would fulfill a long-pending demand of the people of Chrar-e-Sharif. Local civil society members thanked her for the service.
“While we are continuously building grand infrastructure at the shrine, creating more and more facilities for the people, beautifying the shrine and the campus, this ambulance service will fulfill a long-pending demand of the people of Chrar-e-Sharif,” Andrabi said.
She said welfare measures by the Board are ongoing simultaneously throughout Jammu and Kashmir. “Chrar-e-Sharif is a very important destination of J&K on the spiritual landscape, and we all revere this place. The Waqf Board has done huge transformation at the shrine complex during the past four years, and the journey of development continues,” Andrabi added.
She was accompanied by Executive Engineer Er Qazi Mushtaq, AEE Syed Ghulam-e-Murtaza, and shrine administrator Rehmatullah Bhat, among others.
