Large-scale Narco CASOs launched in Anantnag

Must read

Srinagar: In a decisive move against drug trafficking and the narcotics ecosystem, the Anantnag Police conducted simultaneous Narco Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) at 20 targeted locations across the district.
The coordinated efforts involved specially trained police teams operating under the close supervision of senior officers. These operations were based on specific intelligence gathered during investigations of NDPS cases, along with other credible leads related to drug peddlers, kingpins, and their associates, a police spokesperson said.
To maximize the effectiveness of the searches, K9 units were deployed at various sites. The operations focused on suspected hideouts, transit points, and locations linked to individuals involved in narcotics trafficking or supporting the illegal trade.
This district-wide initiative is part of the police’s ongoing strategy to dismantle the entire narcotics network—targeting not only peddlers but also facilitators, financiers, and other persons connected to the illegal trade.
The police remain committed to eradicating the drug menace and urge the public to continue cooperating by providing credible information related to narcotics activities.
