Reflecting on the spiritual legacy of Kashmir, Dr. Farooq said, “The Awliya Allah of Kashmir have been the torchbearers of love, tolerance and harmony. Their teachings continue to guide us in building a society rooted in compassion and inclusivity.”
He further added, “Visiting these sacred shrines reminds us of the profound contributions of our Sufi saints. Their wisdom transcends generations, inspiring devotion, unity and a deep respect for humanity.”
“Sufism in Kashmir has long illuminated the rich tapestry of spirituality, culture and tradition that defines the region. From the early advent of Islam to the flourishing of Sufi mysticism, Kashmir has been a melting pot of diverse religious influences. Through centuries, Islamic teachings, Sufi practices and indigenous Kashmiri traditions have woven together a unique spiritual fabric that transcends sectarian divides, fostering a spirit of peace, inclusivity and understanding,” he added.
