ANANTNAG: In a vibrant display of democratic spirit and institutional unity, the district elections of the Private Schools Association Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK) were successfully conducted at Anantnag, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the association’s grassroots leadership.
The elections witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of school representatives across all educational zones of the district, reflecting the collective commitment of the private education sector towards transparent governance and collaborative progress.
At the conclusion of the electoral process, Mr. Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, Chairman of EMS School Anantnag, was elected as the District President of PSAJK Anantnag, while Mr. Suhail Ahmad Ganai, Chairman of Montessori School Lalkipora Anantnag, was elected as the General Secretary.
The entire election process was conducted in a fair, transparent, and well-organized manner under the supervision of the Election Commission headed by Adv. Nadeem Qadiri. The proceedings were closely observed by senior members of the association, including Adv. Irfan Sahib, District President Srinagar Mr. Tahir Wagey, founding members Mr. Tariq Bali and Mr. Majid Bhat, Mr Zulifkhar ahmad chairman Alsarvat school and Mr. Altaf Hussain Gadoo, chairman Radiant Public school ensuring credibility and adherence to democratic norms.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the State President of PSAJK, Mr. Baba Nazrul Islam, emphasized the crucial role of private educational institutions in striving towards the sustainable goal of delivering quality education. He highlighted the importance of collaborative learning, shared responsibility, and institutional synergy in shaping the future of education in Jammu & Kashmir.
He further expressed his gratitude to the entire PSAJK fraternity for their active participation in the electoral process and for upholding the values of democracy, transparency, and unity within the association.
In his address, the newly elected District President, Mr. Ishfaq Ahmad Bhat, articulated his vision for the district, stating that the holistic development and effective “parenting” of students must remain the foremost priority for all stakeholders in the educational ecosystem. He stressed that schools, educators, and management must work collectively to nurture students not only academically but also socially and ethically.
