HAJIN: As part of its women empowerment initiative under the Civic Action Programme, the 45th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Tuesday launched a one-month tailoring course for women in Baharabad village of Hajin area in Bandipora district.
The CRPF has been providing continuous support for women’s empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir and is working to equip women with vocational skills that can help them become self-reliant. The tailoring course aims to equip local women with practical skills to earn their own livelihood and contribute to their household income.
A large number of women from Baharabad village participated in the programme, showing keen interest in learning tailoring.
The programme was inaugurated by the Commandant of 45 Bn CRPF, Apoorwa.
Speaking on the occasion, Apoorwa encouraged the women to participate with zeal and enthusiasm and said that the initiative is focused on skill development and economic empowerment of local women. “Such vocational courses would help women become financially independent and strengthen their role in society,” he added.
