rinagar: The Kashmir valley is likely to witness a change in weather conditions from January 19, with the Meteorological Department forecasting snowfall during the coming days, officials said.
The department has predicted partly to generally cloudy weather on January 19, with light snowfall at isolated higher reaches, which is expected to be insignificant.
On January 20, light to moderate snowfall is likely at scattered places, mainly over higher reaches, while the plains are likely to remain unaffected, the officials said.
Weather conditions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy on January 21 and 22.
From January 23 to 25, moderate to heavy snowfall is likely across Kashmir, including the plains, which may affect flight operations, particularly on January 23 and 24.
Officials said the forecast is based on current weather conditions and is subject to change.
