Locals, traders, party workers vow to promote indigenous products: Er Hussain
SRINAGAR:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Lal Chowk Constituency on Monday organised a grand Atmanirbhar Sankalp Abhiyan at the iconic Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk, reaffirming its commitment to the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The programme was organised by Er. Aijaz Hussain along with the dedicated team of the Lal Chowk Constituency. State General Secretaries Anwar Khan andSanjita Dogra, and Co-Incharge, All Cells, Bilal Parray, participated in the programme. District President Srinagar Shri Sheikh Salman was also present on the occasion.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, traders, youth, and BJP party workers, who gathered in large numbers at the historic venue. On the occasion, participants took a collective Swadeshi pledge, resolving to promote and adopt Indian-made products and to support local artisans, traders, and entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening the national economy.
Welcoming the gathering, Er. Aijaz Hussain stated that Atmanirbhar Bharat is not merely a slogan but a national commitment, aimed at making India economically self-reliant while remaining globally competitive. He emphasised the importance of “Vocal for Local”, urging citizens to make conscious choices that encourage indigenous production, employment generation, and sustainable development.
State General Secretary BJP Sanjita Dogra highlighted the immense potential of Jammu and Kashmir in achieving self-reliance through sectors such as handicrafts, handloom, horticulture, tourism, and local entrepreneurship, reiterating that initiatives like the Atmanirbhar Sankalp Abhiyan are empowering youth, women, and small traders across the region.
Co-Incharge, All Cells, Bilal Parray spoke about how the Vocal for Local movement would significantly help in boosting the local economy and strengthening grassroots entrepreneurship.
District President Srinagar Sheikh Salman thanked all participants for their active involvement and assured full support to the Lal Chowk Constituency in furthering the objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The programme concluded with a renewed resolve to work collectively for a strong, self-reliant, and prosperous India, with Lal Chowk once again emerging as a powerful symbol of national unity, confidence, and Swadeshi spirit.
