GUND (GANDERBAL): To enhance modern banking services for residents, Jammu and Kashmir Bank inaugurated a Cash Recycler Machine (CRM) at its Gund Ganderbal branch on Wednesday, offering customers round-the-clock cash deposit and withdrawal facilities.
The newly installed CRM was formally inaugurated by Tehsildar Gund, Manzoor Ahmad, in the presence of AGM J&K Bank, Zaffar Akil, Cluster Head Ganderbal, Syed Irfan, and other officials of the bank.
Speaking on the occasion, AGM Zaffar Akil highlighted the bank’s continuous efforts in upgrading its service delivery to meet the growing expectations of customers across Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the introduction of the CRM at Gund will greatly benefit the local population by allowing them to deposit cash beyond traditional banking hours, eliminating the need to visit the branch counter for routine transactions.
Tehsildar Gund Manzoor Ahmad, while appreciating the initiative, stated that the CRM represents the latest in banking technology and urged people to make full use of the facility for faster and more efficient banking.
He added that such customer-friendly measures will significantly reduce crowding inside bank branches and improve overall service.
Prominent local figures, including President Intizamia Committee Hanfia Jamia Masjid Shareef Gund Sonamarg, Ab Rashid Raina, and Chairman Haji Ghulam Qadir Akhoon, were also present and expressed satisfaction over the installation of the new facility.
The general public welcomed the move, terming it a much-needed step that will make banking services more accessible and hassle-free for the residents of Gund and adjoining areas.
