KCCI calls for relief to affected households

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed profound grief and shock over the tragic loss of lives in the accidental blast at Nowgam Police Station, which resulted in the death of nine persons, including police and revenue officials, and left more than thirty others injured.

Javid Ahmad Tenga, President KCCI, while expressing deep sorrow over the tragedy, said that the entire business community stands in solidarity with the bereaved families. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to all those who lost their loved ones and prayed for strength and courage for them to bear this irreparable loss.

He further said that the incident has also resulted in considerable damage to property in the surrounding areas, causing immense hardship to the poorer sections, particularly during the ongoing winter season. He urged the authorities to extend timely relief and assistance to all affected households so that their immediate needs are addressed without delay.

KCC&I also prays for the swift recovery of all those injured in the incident and hopes that all necessary medical care and support are provided. The Chamber said this heartbreaking tragedy has cast a deep shadow over society and reaffirmed its solidarity with all those affected.
