Launch ₹1 crore dev project to boost sports infrastructure, youth engagement
SRINAGAR: In a major boost to local sports infrastructure, Sports Minister Satish Sharma and MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for the upgradation works at Radapora Stadium and Gani Memorial Stadium in the Khanyar Constituency.
The project, with an estimated cost of ₹1 crore, marks a significant step towards enhancing sporting facilities in the area. MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
Over the years, the Radapora stadium has undergone several phases of improvement including ground levelling, fencing, and installation of modern sports facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, locals lauded Sagar for his sustained efforts in transforming Radapora into a vibrant sporting hub. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for his vision and dedication to ensuring that Khanyar remains at the forefront of sports and youth development initiatives.
The new phase of upgradation will further strengthen the sporting infrastructure, opening new avenues for young athletes and sports enthusiasts across the constituency to nurture their talent and achieve excellence.
