Athlete secured many Gold medals

SRINAGAR: Disha Pandith, a pioneering Sqay martial arts player from Kole Pulwama, was honoured on Monday in Mumbai by the Kashmir Pandit Association for her outstanding achievements on the international stage. She secured a gold medal at the South Asian Sqay Championship and subsequently represented India at the 4th Sqay World Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, where she again won gold for her country.

Disha also represented India at the Sqay International Cup in Moscow, Russia, earning another gold medal, and participated in the IMCA tournament in South Korea, where the Indian team delivered a remarkable performance.

The head of the Kashmir Pandit Association praised Disha as a shining example of the community’s resilience and talent, emphasizing that her exceptional accomplishments have brought pride and recognition to the Pandita community both nationally and internationally.

Adil Bashir Bhat, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Sqay Association, expressed confidence that Disha will continue to reach new heights, inspiring others and bringing further laurels to J&K and India. Through her dedication to promoting Sqay within the Pandita community, Disha is paving the way for future generations of martial artists.
