Srinagar: The management, editors, and staff of Kashmir Reader have expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic demise of the beloved daughter of our former colleague, journalist Khursheed Wani, in a heartbreaking hit-and-run accident in Hyderabad.
Khursheed Wani, who contributed to Kashmir Reader with dedication and integrity during his tenure with us, is remembered fondly by the team as a committed professional and a compassionate colleague. The news of his personal loss has left the entire Kashmir Reader family in a state of deep mourning.
A condolence meeting was held today at the Kashmir Reader office in Srinagar. Colleagues, past and present, gathered to offer prayers for the departed soul and to express support for the bereaved family. The attendees offered special dua (prayers) for eternal peace to the departed and strength to Khursheed Wani and his family to bear this irreparable loss.
Speaking on the occasion, the Editor-in-Chief Haji Hayat Mohammad Bhat said, “We stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our brother Khursheed in this hour of unimaginable grief. His daughter’s loss is not only a personal tragedy for him but also a moment of collective sorrow for the *Kashmir Reader* family. We pray that she rests in peace and that her family finds the courage to navigate this dark time.”
Kashmir Reader had extended its heartfelt condolences to Khursheed Wani, his family, and his friends, Haji Hayat said. “We urge the authorities to ensure justice is delivered swiftly.”
