PSAJK president expresses condolences
SRINAGAR: The International Islamic School (IIS), Srinagar, along with the Private Schools Association of Jammu & Kashmir (PSAJK), deeply mourns the passing of Bashir Ahmad Mattoo, who was father of Mansoor Ahmad Mattoo, one of the founding directors of the School.
Bashir Ahmad Mattoo passed away yesterday, leaving behind a legacy of honesty, kindness and strong moral values that continue to inspire his family and community. The IIS family and PSAJK stand in full support of the grieving family during this difficult time.
A delegation led by PSAJK State President G.N. Var, including IIS Chairman Tariq Ahmad Bhat and Board of Directors Showkat Hussain Mirza, Altaf Hussain Bhat, Tanvir Ahmad Rather and Gh. Hassan Rather visited the bereaved family and expressed their heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Bashir Ahmad Mattoo. They offered prayers and shared words of grief and sorrow with the bereaved family.
PSAJK President G.N. Var said “Bashir Ahmad Mattoo Sahib was a man of immense wisdom and humility. The values he lived by are clearly reflected in the vision and dedication of his son, Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mattoo towards quality education and community service. His passing away is not only a personal loss to the family but also a loss felt deeply by the entire society of Jammu and Kashmir.
We pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his shortcomings, and shower His infinite mercy upon him. May Allah grant the bereaved family sabr-e-jameel and the strength to bear this profound loss.”
Chairman of International Islamic School, Tariq Ahmad Bhat, also expressed his sorrow “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Bashir Ahmad Mattoo. He was a guiding figure whose good qualities are reflected in the life and work of his son, our founding director. We pray that Allah grants him the highest place in Jannah.”
The Directors of IIS, Showkat Hussain Mirza, Altaf Hussain Bhat, Tanvir Ahmad Rather, and Gh. Hassan Rather – jointly expressed “We are truly saddened by the loss of Mr. Bashir Ahmad Mattoo. He lived a life filled with faith, humanity and strong values. We pray for his soul’s peace and our deepest sympathies to Mansoor Ahmad Mattoo Sahib and his family.”
A special dua-e-magfirat majlis was held for the departed soul and prayers were offered for the strength and support of the Mattoo family. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, elevate his ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous and grant strength and patience to the bereaved family. Aameen.
