SRINAGAR: A total of 170 students from District Bandipora, including 91 girls, appeared in the General Ability Test (GAT) conducted by Aloha J&K at IDPS. Notably, for the first time, 12 students from Government Girls Middle School (GMS) Onagam participated alongside students from various private and public schools across the district.
The three-tier examination, conducted annually by Aloha, aims to prepare students for competitive exams during their school years. Participants from classes 4 to 10 took part in the test. The exam for classes 5 to 10 comprised 120 questions to be completed in 120 minutes, while class 4 students answered 60 questions.
Extensive arrangements were made to ensure the examination was conducted in a fair and transparent manner. Noted award-winning teacher Javaid Jawad served as the special observer for the event, overseeing the smooth conduct of the test.
A significant highlight of this year’s examination was the participation of students from a government school for the first time—a move that received widespread appreciation from educationists and community members alike. Uzma Altaf, a class 8 student of GMS Onagam, expressed her gratitude to Aloha for providing the opportunity to take part in such a prestigious examination, inspiring young learners in the district.
