Anantnag police today claimed to have arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant Aadil Ahmad Bhat son of Gulam Qadir Bhat resident of Jiblipora, Bijbehara. However, the militant outfit, Hizbul denied that the arrested youth was affiliated with them.
Police said that Bhat was apprehended by Anantnag police along with Army and CRPF in a joint operation at railway station Bijbehara Wednesday morning. Aadil was C category militant.
Meanwhile, Hizbul Mujahideen said that Adil Ahmad of Jablipora was not association with the militant organization.
Hizb Operational spokesman Burhan-u-Din in a tele-statement to a local news gathering agency, KNS said that Adil was not associated with Hizb.
