SRINAGAR: In connection with the martyrdom anniversary of “Shaheed-e-Millat” Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq (RA), a blood donation camp was organised today by the Mirwaiz Foundation at Ganj Baksh Park, Nowhatta. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Amandeep and Ujala Group of Hospitals.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with a large number of enthusiastic youth, including women, coming forward to donate blood. Students from various institutions and individuals from all walks of life participated in the drive, reflecting a strong sense of social responsibility and community service.
Around 150 pints of blood were donated during the camp, making it a highly successful effort in support of public health and emergency care services. Mirwaiz Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq also joined the donors and donated blood in the camp.
The event aimed to promote the message of compassion, selflessness, and public welfare—values that the “Shaheed-e-Millat” championed throughout his life. The Mirwaiz Foundation expressed its gratitude to all participants and reaffirmed its commitment to continue organizing such humanitarian initiatives for the greater good of society.
