One civilian, who was injured as suspected militants hurled a grenade on CRPF vehicle which exploded on the road side, has succumbed to his injuries in SHMS hospital, sources said.
According to the witnesses, the grenade exploded near an auto rickshaw injuring a dozen pedestrians.
They said that the explosion spread panic in the area and people were seen running for lives.
“Some miscreant tried to throw a grenade on the deployment but reportedly it exploded close to him and he (miscreant) is injured,” said SSP Srinagar.
According to the reports, the deceased was identified as Masood Ahmad of Ompora Budgam.
Meanwhile, all the other injured are said to be stable.
