SRINAGAR: Several leaders and official across Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid Ul Fitr.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah
The President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid Ul Fitr.
Dr. Farooq, in his Eid greetings said, “I extend my heartfelt wishes to the people on this auspicious occasion, praying that the Almighty accepts our month-long fasting, repentance, prayers, and rectitude. May the Almighty promote unity among people and further the cause of harmony and brotherhood in J&K and around the world.”

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He said that Eid is a time of joy, gratitude, and reflection—a time to strengthen our connection with the Almighty and to show kindness, compassion, and care towards one another, especially to those in need.
Mirwaiz said that he prays to Almighty Allah to accept the prayers, fasting, and good deeds of the people and to bless them with peace, prosperity, and happiness. He emphasized that Eid is also a reminder to uphold the values of unity, brotherhood, and service to humanity.
Ghulam Nabi Azad
Former Chief Minister J&K, Chairman DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. He conveyed his best wishes to all those celebrating and prayed for peace, prosperity, and brotherhood.
Azad said that Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival that symbolises compassion, gratitude, and togetherness. Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo has extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the first day of Navratri.

Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.
In his message, Div Com said the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr teaches to express gratitude to Almighty, help destitute & poor to share happiness and strengthen social fabric.
He prayed for communal harmony and brotherhood among the communities to share happiness together.
DC Srinagar
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat has conveyed warmest wishes to thr people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Dr Bilal in his message extended his good wishes to the people on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The festival is marked as the occasion when month-long fasting (Roza) of Ramadan comes to an end. Eid-Ul-Fitr symbolizes the need to perform deeds of charity by giving Zakat to the poor and needy, giving back to the community by engaging in humanitarian acts.
The festival is characterised by spreading the feelings of love, compassion and affection among fellow human beings.
The DC added while people are delighted to celebrate the completion of Ramadan, the spirit should continue throughout the year with core values of charity, cooperation and compassion that drives humanity on this planet.

In a statement, the National Convenor of the Association, Nasir Khuehami, emphasized that Eid-ul-Fitr is not just a celebration but a significant occasion that highlights the values of peace, unity, and truthfulness. Khuehami also stressed the importance of celebrating Eid with simplicity, in line with Islamic teachings that discourage extravagance. “Allah commands us not to indulge in excess, for He dislikes wastefulness. He further highlighted that festivals like Eid strengthen India’s pluralistic society by fostering brotherhood, compassion, and coexistence. He reiterated that the progress of Jammu and Kashmir depends on sustained peace, economic development, and efforts to bridge social and communal divides.
