Hajin residents complain door-to-door waste collection not regular

Must read

HAJIN: Residents of Hajin town have expressed strong resentment over the irregular door-to-door waste collection, saying it has been causing them immense inconvenience.
Locals alleged that despite paying monthly charges to the Municipal Committee (MC) Hajin, the waste collection vehicles do not visit all wards daily. They also complained that there is no fixed schedule for these vehicles, and the collection staff comes and goes at their convenience.
“If they do not streamline the waste collection timing, we will stop making payments,” said an aggrieved resident.
People further complained that the drivers sometimes arrive around 11 AM but only cover one or two wards before leaving for the day, neglecting their duty.
“There is no proper mechanism in place. The route of the waste collection vans is not fixed, and they either arrive at random hours or do not come at all,” another resident alleged.
The residents have urged the concerned authorities to take immediate steps to ensure a proper and timely waste collection system in the town.
