Clashes broke out between government forces and protesters in Nillow village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the area.
Youth took to streets and started pelting stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shells triggering clashes. Clashes were going on when the last reports came in.
Earlier government forces cordoned off the area after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
