Srinagar: Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari assumed the charge of Joint Director Information Kashmir on Wednesday.
Deputy Director Information & PR, Ahsan ul Haq Chishti; Cultural Officer, Burhan Hussain and other senior officers extended warm welcome to the incoming Joint Director Information and congratulated him on assuming the charge of the department.
After assuming the charge, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari held an introductory meeting of the officers and officials of different units of the department, and also took first hand appraisal of the functioning of the department.
On the occasion, the JD emphasised the importance of teamwork and urged the staff to work collectively to enhance the department’s outreach and efficiency in delivering its objectives.
Last week, Mohammad Aslam, JKAS, Joint Director, Information, Kashmir, was transferred and posted as Registrar-cum-Controller of Examinations, SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar.
Syed Shahnawaz, JKAS, Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, was transferred and posted as Joint Director, Information, Kashmir.
