SRINAGAR: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Jammu and Kashmir, observed Constitution Day across the Union Territory, with a series of events organized to highlight the importance of the Indian Constitution and its core values.
The main event was held at the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports, Sports Complex in Jammu. Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General of the Department, along with the staff members of the Directorate, gathered to recite the Preamble of the Indian Constitution. In his address, the Director General emphasized the need to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution. He urged the staff to integrate these values into both their professional and personal lives.
In addition to the central event in Jammu, similar programs were conducted at district and zonal levels across the UT. These activities, guided by the officers and officials of the department, saw active participation from staff, students, and local youth, ensuring that the message of the Constitution resonated throughout the Union Territory.
