Mirwaiz Umar to receive condolences at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) convened a condolence meeting to honor the memory of Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Ahmad Shah, son of the renowned Kashmir leader and religious scholar, Muhajir-e-Millat and Mufassir-e-Qur’an, Mirwaiz Moulana Muhammad Yousuf Shah (RA). The meeting was held at AAC headquarters, Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar, following Shah’s passing in Islamabad, Pakistan.
AAC members expressed sorrow and paid tribute to the deceased, emphasizing his lifelong dedication to public service and the promotion of Islamic teachings. In particular, they acknowledged his significant role in spreading the teachings of the Qur’an through his work “Tafsir Bayaan al-Furqan,” which was broadcast over radio, reaching countless homes.
AAC members extended condolences to the Mirwaiz family, particularly to the organization’s head, Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, and the deceased’s son, Moulvi Muhammad Yahya.
Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq will receive condolences at Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal, tomorrow, November 4, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. A funeral prayer in absentia (Gayibana Namaz-e-Jinazah) will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the courtyard of the historic Jama Masjid.
