SRINAGAR: Police on Saturday said they have taken cognizance against an individual for assaulting his parents and not allowing them to enter their own home for the past one year in Srinagar.
Acting upon a written complaint of accused person’s mother namely Mst Taja Banoo wife of Gh Ahmad Wani, a criminal case FIR No. 77/2024 under section 74, 126(2), 351(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Nowgam and investigation initiated, police said in a statement.
“The accused individual identified as Mohd Ashraf Wani son of Gh Ahmad Wani resident of S. A. Colony, Nowgam has been brought to the police station for questioning and further investigation into the matter is in progress,” police said.
