A youth was killed on Thursday in clashes between government forces and protesters in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, sources said.
The youth was identified as Touseef Ahmad of Tengpuna, Pulwama.
The clashes erupted after thousands of people gathered in Kakapora to attend the funeral of two militants killed in an encounter.
The injured youth was brought to Pampore hospital where he was declared brought dead, sources said.
Three militants were killed in a gunfight in Kakpora.
