SRINAGAR: Mubassir Latifi (IPS) on Saturday assumed charge as the In-charge Deputy Inspector General of Police (Pers.) at Police Headquarters (PHQ), succeeding DIG M Suleman Choudhary (IPS).
A formal handing over and taking over of charge ceremony was held between the officers.
Latifi has served the department in various capacities including DySP SOG Sopore, DySP Hqrs. Jammu, SDPO Shopian, SDPO Nowshera, Addl SP Jammu, SP South Jammu, SP Ramban, SP Kulgam, SP Rajouri, SP Crime Jammu, AIG (Pers) PHQ, AIG (Prov/Tpt) PHQ, CO-IRP -15th Bn., and CO-IRP-10th Bn.
