AWANTIPORA: As part of a community concern and under the PURSE project supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), through the University Health Centre and PURSE Program team organized a Health Awareness and Screening Program in Awantipora on Friday.
The program saw active participation from the local residents, especially women who interacted with the University team comprising Medical Officer Dr. Zahida Rasool, investigators, scholars of IUST-PURSE Program, health and paramedical staff. The locals learnt about different non-communicable diseases and available remedies. On this occasion free medical consultation and diagnostic tests were also conducted.
